What is it THURSDAY - and updates

Well, due to an unfortunate set of tornados and thunderstorms, I was unable to post my what is it wednesday post yesterday (we had no electricity...thanks, Mom & Dad for letting us crash at your place).  But have no fear because here is this week's picture:

Now, for the updating part.  I had a fun birthday a couple of weeks ago, and we were very lucky to have Josh & Erin and the kids meet us for lunch at my favorite Mexican food place...Marianos.  Thanks, guys, for going out of your way to be here.

And yesterday my mom & I finally got to go to Longview to meet little Blake Alan Porter!  He is so precious and sweet and little - even though Rachel is only about 9 weeks older than him, he made her seem huge.  Amy, thanks for letting us blaze in there even when you had a doctor's appointment - I LOVED seeing you and meeting that precious baby boy.  Can't wait for Rachel and Blake to be able to play together.

The kids are both doing great.  Ethan's vocabulary, as well as his personality, has exploded this week.  Today, out of the blue, he said, "Mommy, I don't love Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.  I do love Mickey Mouse."  So, now you all know that apparently he doesn't love Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.  Here is a picture of his latest accomplishment around the house:

And Rachel is just getting bigger and sweeter and sweeter.  Today she started grabbing for her toys, and I almost got a laugh out of her.  I'm so excited to hear what her little laugh will sound like!  She likes sitting in her Bumbo, taking baths, watching Ethan play and eating.  She did pretty good on the trip to and from Longview yesterday...and she even had some awake and happy time in her carseat.  Yeah!

Now don't forget to post your guess for the top picture!!!

  2. I think an antique store. I think the people of the 20th century used these things like we use the DVR today, a useful tool (if it can be called that). A crude form of entertainment to say the least.
