Still on a sugar high
Yesterday was so much fun. Haley (babysitter) and her mom and siblings invited us over with a few other friends to decorated gingerbread houses. I'm sure I'll get the mother of the year award for this admission, but we've never done this before. You can't imagine the setup - the houses were already put together so the kids could just focus on decorating, there was every kind of candy imaginable there, an endless supply of white and green frosting, and lots of help! As I suspected Ethan was very into the decorating part and wanted to get everything just right - Rachel gorged herself on fruit loops, dots, Hershey kisses and frosting. She's my kind of girl! Haley was kind enough to snap about 647 pictures of the process, and 27 hours later I've just gotten through them all. Thanks, H!

We've never done it either. I actually bought a kit last yr but we never got around to it so I returned it after the holidays. Kindergarten made 'em this yr so I got out of it again!

Isn't it fun? We've never done it until this year. And the only reason we did it this year is b/c our neighbor gave us one for a gift, and Luke kept asking us if we could build the house. So, I figured we should be good parents, and I made Marc help him while I fed Dylan:) Luke had a blast making it, and we all had fun sampling the candy we didn't use on it;) I think we will do it again next year too! And I love your friend's idea of inviting everyone over and having the houses all set up. Maybe I'll do that next year if I have enough energy:)
