Myth busted

Ever heard the myth about the Pampers size 4 diaper surviving the rinse cycle in the washing machine?  Well, I inadvertently busted that myth today.  Apparently someone included a diaper in the mess of dirty sheets and blankets from our weekend, and someone did not properly check the contents of this mess when starting the 108th load of clothes today.  As the blood was rushing to my head from being upside down in the washing machine with the vacuum cleaner attachment, I reminded myself that it could have been worse - it could have been a dirty diaper.  And speaking of poop - I'd like to delete the following line item from my job description:  Will be required to clean poop out of the bathtub when child decides that the warm water is a much better place than a perfectly good diaper to rid her system of the weekend's intake.

  1. Haha...I've done both of those...had to rewash all the clothes twice to get all those little miniglob fiber things of diaper off. And I didn't ever have a problem with poop in the tub until I had a girl.

I love all your posts and keeping up with all of you too.

  2. Man! Those Lucky Charms were catching up with her!

I am so glad the diaper in the washer wasn't a stinky but what a pain anyhow! yikes!

  4. I guess this post would fall under Super Mom! I have heard that happen to sooo many moms. If Mak has not had a regular poo poo then I will make her carrot juice so she will clean out her system first. I am not wanting to write a post like this one! :)

  5. I have done the dirty diaper trick in the washing machine but I was not bright enough to use the vaccuum cleaner... good thinking and thanks for making me laugh this morning.

  6. The whole poop in the tub just happened to me the other day with Blake!! The craziest part was that Mallory was in the bath with him! She didn't so much like it! :) We had to clean and re-clean the kids! Don't you hate it when they are all clean and just playing and about to get out and all of a sudden you hear AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH Blakey poopin'! Gotta love those days!

  7. I just had my first poop in the bathtub incident last week. I guess you could say it was exciting, but not the type of excitement I would ever want to repeat. And yes, he was seconds away from being out of the tub when it happened. Oh well, I guess it can be considered an official welcome into parenthood.
