Reynolds Reunion 2009

Clay's family reunion will go down in the books as one of our favorite long weekends ever.  Just like last year, we went back to New Braunfels where we "camped" at his cousin's land and it was hard to come back on Monday.  While there are many perks of living in a big city, I often long for lazy days outside where the kids can just run around and get as dirty as possible and nobody cares.  We drove down Friday morning (what a difference a year makes for a - dare I say, enjoyable - car ride) and the kids went straight for the playground and 4 wheelers.  Clay got the camper set up and then we proceeded to sit, eat, talk, play, laugh and catch up with everyone for the rest of the evening.

Saturday afternoon the guys and Holly and Jenny took a kayak trip, and believe it or not Clay did not lose another wedding ring!  The kids hit the slip-n-slide and the playground that day, and we went into Gruene that evening to thoroughly enjoy the Gristmill.

Sunday was great because the kids played hard that morning (Kade and Rachel tied for the dirtiest kid award that morning), and then we took them into New Braunfels to the children's museum, park, and out for ice cream.

And I certainly don't want to forget the teepee/bonfire the kids worked so hard building.

Monday morning we ate another great breakfast, packed up the camper and headed home.  Jeremy & Macy - thanks for being such great hosts...again.

  2. What a fun weekend! We want to try the Gristmill on one of our trips down that way too. Your pics are awesome (makes me wish that we had a camper too), and your kiddos are as adorable as ever:)
