I'm not sure what approach everyone else uses for helping their kids learn shapes, but we prefer the unconventional methods around here. I was in the bathroom yesterday with Rachel while she was pooping (yes, I lead a very glamorous lifestyle). Upon inspection of the toilet she busted out with, "Mommy! A triangle and a circle!" I'm so proud.
whatever works, use it! :)
ReplyDeleteHIlarious.... I thought you were going to say that she looked at her poo and called out a shape... funny...
ReplyDeleteLisa, you may or may not remember me from the AFC (Reid '98) but I follow your blog. This post made me laugh because years ago I was in the bathroom at Target and there were 2 little kids in the stall next to me. The little boy was maybe 3 or 4 and when he climbed off the toilet he said to his older sister, "Look! A poo-poo turtle!". My husband and I to this day have inside jokes about poo-poo turtles.
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, being a mom is a VERY glamorous job.
Love it. Paige counts hers in Spanish and Macy used to name them "a daddy one, a mommy one, a baby one and a doggie one".
