Poor Clay doesn't "make" the blog very often, but I did want to give him props today. He went to work a little late this morning so he could take us all to the donut shop for breakfast. He would be the first to tell you that he's not the romantic or servant type, but he does a great job of spoiling us in his own way. As much as I love donuts, the food wasn't my favorite part of the morning - it was the example he's setting for Ethan. I hope when E has kids of his own he remembers things like this. This week marks 10 years since we started dating back at good old A&M...man, I miss that place. This time 10 years ago we were probably hanging out at Sweet Eugene's drinking java shakes with a very good staged studying session. I'm pretty sure our books never saw the light of day, but hey, we turned out alright! (Heather - thanks for sending the picture from our fun night out. One of the very few photos we have these days of just the 2 of us!)
No problem! We need to go out again!!! I am needing some grown-up time BAD!

ReplyDeleteSo sweet and what a blessing... there are many children/adults in the world that long to have a father yet alone one that will take the time to show them how special they are... not only is Clay a good example for ethan but a good example of our God and how HE will always take the time to show you who you are to HIM and how much you mean. Precious picture, precious memories of the past 10 years... wow... and here here to 10, 20, 30, 40 more.
