Trunk or Treat

Saturday night was our church's annual Trunk-or-Treat.  Clay and I always have really grand ideas for our trunk, and here's how it usually goes:

Oct_027.jpgearly September - toss around a few really great ideas that the kids would love
late September - toss around a few really great ideas that the kids would love
early October - toss around a few really great ideas that the kids would love
day before Trunk or Treat - go with the same sports theme that we've done all of the previous years

Well, there's always next year!  But the kids do seem to enjoy the soccer shoot and we love that we already know how to set it up!  This is really the first year that Ethan has been interested in Halloween and picking out his own costume.  Verdict?  Spiderman.  And as much fun as it is to dress Rachel up in a super cute costume, I know her well enough to know that she'll be out of it in 10 minutes so we went with an elephant costume we already had.  And true to form....she wore it about 12 minutes and then got hot and started begging for water.  It was a lot of fun and it's a good community outreach as well.

  3. I love the trunk or treat idea. It is a wonderful tool to reach out to the community. I organized my first one this year and it was a huge success! Ethan was rockin in his costume!
