Movin' on up

Preschool started Thursday for Ethan and me and we both had a great day.  Ethan's in the 3/4 class this year with Mrs. Pam, and 5 of the kids from his class last year are with him again.  I'm teaching preK again, and have 10 kids in my class.  They all had a really good day - especially considering that 5 of them have never done preschool before.  And my wonderful Mom is keeping Rachel again this year.

This is what the conversation went like with Ethan after school:

Me:  E, how was your day today?
E:  Fine.
Me:  What all did you do in class?
E:  I don't remember.
Me:  What did you learn?
E:  Nothing.
Me:  Well, did you have any fun at all?
E:  Sure.
Me:  Don't you want to tell me anything about your day?
E:  They were playing play-do when I left and I didn't get to.
(We leave at 1:00 and don't stay for extended day, so apparently the only thing he took from his first day was that he missed out on play-do.  Great.)

Last Year
2007_0913School0006.JPG
(You can really tell how much he's grown in the past year by looking at where he is on the door ... past the deadbolt this year!  Last year he started school in 24 mo. jeans and this year he's comfortably wearing 3T shorts.)

  5. Wow he is so much taller! Hopefully he will get past leaving early. If he only knew getting out of school is so much better! It is so neat how you get to teach at the same school. Thank you for your messages on my site! Let me know about Rachels sizes so I know what to ship to you.
