Thursday was a day of rejoicing here as Rachel's umbilical stump finally fell off. I don't know what it is about that thing that makes dressing, diapering, etc. so awkward, but it just is. So, Thursday night little missy got her first real bath and she loved it. I remember giving Ethan 2 and sometimes 3 baths a day just to get him to stop crying. He would be so relaxed sitting in the warm water, and Rachel is exactly the same way. She's not at all a fan of getting out of the bath, but we'll get there.
And then this morning was Rachel's first time to go to church. I was so excited to "show off" our little girl, and it was very uplifting for me personally to be there worshipping again after 3 weeks out. She didn't sleep like I thought she would, but a certain Nana kept her very warm and comfy and Rachel did great. I had so much fun yesterday going through her clothes and picking out her outfit. I realized that she doesn't have many cold weather dresses, but I love this jumper and the tights - thank you Mallory for letting us borrow your clothes and for helping Rachel to shine on her first Sunday at church.
And last night our sweet friends the Crums had us over to their house for dinner and we had a great time getting out of
Your little angel just looked TOO CUTE tonight at church - the old=fashioned print fabric in blue and pink and those chrocheted pink shoes...PRECIOUS! I'm so proud to me her Nana.
