Well, I really didn't think it would happen this fast, but at 3.5 weeks old, our little girl slept all night last night! She ate at 9:00, went to sleep at 9:30, and didn't make a peep until 5:00 this morning. And the best part is that I went to bed at 10 and got 7 straight hours of sleep! Everyone has said there are benefits to having a bigger baby, and I would say this is definitely one of them. Now, I have no crazy notions in my head that she'll make this a habit yet, but I'll take just one night. Sweet little baby girl.
Oh, and I have a quick funny story about Ethan. On Thursday, we were over at my mom's house for lunch, and there was a tractor parked across the street from her house. Ethan kept asking to see it, so I took him outside to get a closer look because he LOVES tractors. This particular tractor had a couple of those big orange cones stacked up on the front of it. Ethan studied it for a minute, and then said, "Mommy, there's a big tractor with a little bitty birthday hat." Crack me up.
Yeah Rachel! Your mommy needed that.
ReplyDeleteAnd Ethan - we loved playing with you yesterday. You are such a fun friend and Jack kept saying after you left, "Ethan feels better and came over to play with me."
Go Rachel! Don't you just feel so much better after a full nights rest?!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to you on a full nights sleep! She might surprise you...this just might be the start to something new! Can't wait to see you guys soon!
ReplyDeleteAWESOME! Hopefully she'll keep it up! I can't wait to meet Rachel (maybe third time will be the charm=).
ReplyDeleteThat is great. Hoping she's keeping it up. Surely by the time we visit she will be and then I'll even volunteer to babysit her and Ethan overnight :)
