My dad works shift work, so every other week he's home for a good portion of the day when Ethan is there (which I'm convinced are both of their favorite days). If dad has any work to do in the front yard, he usually lets Ethan play in the truck or in the back because the child is obsessed with trucks. Well, yesterday while my dad is chopping some tree roots, he sees the garage door close and wonders why my mom is closing the door on him. Then a couple of minutes later, the garage door goes back up. Then down, then up...you get the picture. So, he goes over to the truck to find Ethan completely satisfied with himself that he crawled into the steering wheel so he could comfortably reach the garage door opener and proceed to master this skill. Dad - thanks for having the camera ready!
As adorable as this picture is....it was so much better in "real time". There is absolutely NOTHING this child can not come up with in order to accomplish whatever it is he wants to do! There was a time when I thought no one could be as precocious as the young Lisa Janeye but, alas, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree!
