Half of a what?

Half of a year? Surely not. The calendar says she's 6 months old, but there's no way it's already been half of a year since we were in the hospital meeting her. She does all of the things a 6 month old should do, but surely she's still a newborn. As much as I love this stage in her life, I just can't come to grips with the fact that my baby is 6 months old - rolling everywhere, sitting up, eating new things every day, trying to make us laugh, blowing raspberries, and all sorts of other things. There are two words that best describe Rachel Ryan - pure joy. I know that sounds really corny, but she really is full of joy and happiness and is just content to "be." She has transitioned from the super screamer in the car to a laid back, easy going, rather fun little girl to tote around. She smiles at anyone and everyone -especially Ethan. So far she seems to enjoy baby food - bananas and sweet potatoes being her faves. She switches easily between nursing and bottle feeding, and she still sleeps wonderfully at night and takes fairly good naps. It still seems too good to be true. I'm sure she'll pay us back for all this easy stuff the day she turns 13. We don't have her 6 month checkup until next week, so I'll post her stats then. Well, I know everyone really just wants pictures (family anyway), so here you go:
